I just thought you should know...

I just thought you should know that I have sent out 75 cards and still missed some people. Sorry!
I just thought you should know that I am an offical Californian as I made the comment to my Ryan that it was going to be very cold at 65 degrees.
I just thought you should know that I put mittens, a hat, and a lighter weight coat on Brody at 55 degrees.
I just thought you should know that we are going on a hayride tonight!
I just thought you should know that Brody now says, "no, mama...no tickles..." and then laughs and says, "tickle, tickle, tickle."
I just thought you should know that Ryan and I have eaten too many holiday cookies.
I just thought you should know that Makena choose Ryan to help her build an airplane out of boxes today...not me...and she choose to sit by him at breakfast and at lunch...hmmmm...dadddy's girl?
I just thought you should know that if you are someone who has sent us a box this past week, the kids are loving them!
I just thought you should know that if you are in MI or IN, we are missing you greatly this Christmas!!!

The Preschool Christmas Performance

Makena was Mary in her Christmas Performance at preschool. The 4 year olds were just so adorable. Each child choose the part he/she wanted to do and then they all said lines or sang songs. It was so sweet! These pictures are not the best because we were in the middle and the lighting wasn't too good. Oh well!!We bought the DVD of course!!!
Enjoy!

The Christmas Card

On Saturday we took our Christmas card pictures. The kids did wonderful, thanks to a little chocolate and peek-a-boo! That afternoon I spent time setting up our Christmas card, which is our blog header. I sent it to Costco to be printed. I only printed 1 and I am so glad! It did not turn out! So, today, I spent time creating a Costco Christmas card which everyone will receive later. Enjoy the "real" one b/c apparently you'll be the only ones who see it!!

New background

Makena choose this background! Enjoy!

A Christmas Joy!

What a great morning I had!! My friends Melissa and Mina came over with their kids for a playdate! We chatted while the kids played and just had a great time! I am so lucky to have such great friends in my life. After they left, I had a picnic with the kids. Now, I do not usually let my kids eat in the family room because of the mess. (my kids are messy eaters) But today, I let my OCD go and set up two beach towels, the little picnic table, and we ate lunch while watching the Disney Christmas Songs DVD. Whew! How crazy am I? :) Thanks to my sister Lori for this idea...I taught M how to make snowflakes. She loved it. I discovered that it was earlier for her to cut out white coffee filters than paper because paper is too thick for the child scissors. Now, I am off to work on my laptop! It has been a great day!

"Tur-Tle"

Brody loves his stuffed turtle. He clearly pronounces it "Tur-Tle". My mom got it for him at the aquarium and she got Makena a polar bear. The polar bear is named Snowflake. My kids sleep with these animals. They take them places. Snowflake even gets dressed up once in a while. I think these animals may soon be up there with green blankie and blue blankie!

Makena rediscovered my doll named Jenny last night. I got her when I was four the summer I went to Germany with my mom. Makena just adores her and even slept with her last night. Jenny will be joining us at gymnastics and Henry's today!

Welcome Christmas!

Each year we decorate the Christmas tree the Friday after Thanksgiving. It was fun to have the kids help us!! Ryan and Makena put up the lights on the house...well Makena helped for about 2 minutes and then she lost intrest. :0)

It's Raining!!

Last weekend we had....RAIN! Oh what fun for the kids! Ryan had them go outside and play in it. They had a blast getting wet and just being in the rain.

19th Months

Brody is now 19 month olds! He is a big talker and climber! I think he will get a kick out of opening presents this year. :) I bought new stocking holders that need a picture of each person. This is the one I will use of Brody!!

Going private

I am thinking about making my blog private. I have a lot of stuff on her about my family. But if I go private I have to add everyone who reads it and have their email address... hmmmm ok, so if you want to still read it if I go private, then email me so I can have your address. Thanks!

Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I cooked a yummy breakfast of cinnamon rolls and eggs and then we played with the kids and watched some of the Macy's parade. Later we went for a walk and then after Brody's nap we ate our Thanksgiving meal! Angela and Kevin came over for dinner and we played games all night long...until I left at 10:30 to go to the Pottery Barn outlet sale with Katherine that started at 11:00...ahh shopping that late is a little crazy! Enjoy the pictures! (B found an old football in the playroom and carried it around all day. He called it "fu-gook".)
