This year we gave Makena the choice of having a big birthday party or going to Disney, eating lunch at Ariel's Grotto with five princess, and having her face painted. She decided to do Ariel's Grotto and Disney. Now, as she was only three, I kept on asking her the whole beginning of July, "are you sure that is what you want to do?" We all know that birthday girls can change their minds at the last minute but she didn't. So, we planned the Disney trip for the day of her b-day and did a birthday dinner the night before with Auntie, Mr. Kevin, her good friends Connor and Abby, and Miss Katherine. We ate Pizza, watermelon, applesauce, and salad. Makena was very excited about the cake because she helped to create it with me! (It was very fun!!) She loved her birthday dinner!
