I walked outside this afternoon with my arms full of newspapers and ads to go into the recycling bin. Ryan was at Home Depot, M was at a friend's house, and B was waiting by the door for me. As I step outside, I see something moving out of the corner of my eye and think, "oh, the cable line is loose again (it runs on the outside of our house) ...wait a minute...it's a SNAKE!" AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! (Deep breath) AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I froze and tried to see if it had a rattle on it's tail. I did not think I saw one, but I honestly did not as I have NEVER been upclose to one in my life. I ran inside freaking out and shaking and called my neighbors, Ben and Noelle. Now, Noelle answers and I yell, "there's a snake in my backyard. Can Ben come over? It's Melanie." (What she heard: Snake Backyard Ben) She sends him over and he comes to the rescue. I was still freaking out. Ben searched for the snake and fianlly finds it. He wrangles it out and chases it in my grass. There he PICKS IT UP and swirls it around a little and then BAM! BAM! He wacks it against my fence twice...ahhh a dead 3 1/2 foot King Snake. (yes, they are nonpoisionous but will still draw blood and hurt B and M if they are bitten. plus I cannot stand snakes..) So once again...any takers on my house? :)

Yes, I am selling my house for $1,000. Any takers? It comes with lots of upgrades and pretty landscaping. It even comes with a snake and the threat of more snakes. Oh, yes! This is my story... (condensed version)

You are hillarious. Get the camera....I would have freaked too and taken a picture too. Glad the snake was found.
How scary! Glad everyone was ok! I would have pulled out the camera too!
AHG! I have chills! Rats, mice, snakes and large spiders all make me sick!
Nicholas is buying! He thought the snake was the coolest and told us how he was going to catch one when he goes to CA. Oh, boy...
