Cliffs Beach...the best hidden beach in Laguna

Ok, so I don't actually know if it is the best hidden beach in Laguna but it sure is one of them.  My parents actually found this place two years ago and we hadn't gone back there until today.  It was crowded, which goes to show you just how popular it is because it was chilly and cloudy for a big part of the day.  The surf was high which meant that we had to sit up the beach and we couldn't look in tide pools but we all had so much fun!  The kids loved splashing in the waves and digging in the sand.  The adults loved relaxing and Bryn was just happy to sit on the blanket and chew on her toys.  We love going to the beach!

Welcome to First Grade, Makena!

Today our first baby woke up with a smile on her face, eager to start 1st grade!  Makena was very excited to begin a new school year with Mrs. Horne.  She wore this adorable dress and did her own hair for school.  The whole family took her to school and walked her to her class.  It was nice to meet her teacher!  (One of my former parents is an aide in Makena's class!  That was so neat!)  Well, I have to admit that I have high hopes for this year and expectations that stem from this being my area that I taught.  I really, really, really hope that it is a successful and fun learning year for Makena! 
Dubbies, we LOVE you soooooo much!!!!!  You are going to be an awesome first grader!
