Strawberry Shortcake

Auntie Lori and Savannah picked out some cute outfits for Brinley.  This one has a little strawberry on the back of the pants and is just adorable!!!!

P.R.O. Awards

On Friday morning, Makena received her first award from school.  She was given the P.R.O. reward which stands for People Respecting Others.  We are so PROUD of our MakenaBee!!!!  It was a suprise for her!!!  Ryan, Brody, Brinley, and I took her to school and then waited by the outdoor stage for the assembly to begin.  This school is so neat because they have an actual mascot named Harvey who comes out for all school assemblies.  I loved it!  All the kids chanted, "Harvey! Harvey! Harvey!"  When Makena's name was called, she was so excited!  Of course I was picture happy and took so many pictures!!!  Here are a few!

Yes, the little girl standing next to her is Dani, Makena's really good friend.  Their teacher gave them both the award because she did not want any hurt feelings.  (Very smart of their teacher!!!!)

The Daddy-Daughter Dance

Makena has been so excited for the Daddy-Daughter Dance since she started Kindergarten in August.  When we bought her Christmas dress in November she told me that her red Christmas dress is what she was wearing to the dance.  She's a planner! :) 
Before the dance, the kids and I went to Miss Ginny to have Makena get her hair done and see some of her friends who were also getting their hair done.  (This was a huge treat for Makena!)  I loved seeing the excitement in the girls as they giggled and ran around waiting for their turn.  Brody and his friends Carly and Jax ran around playing together and having lots of fun! 

After Makena had her hair done and the girls posed for pictures, we headed back home to see Ryan.  Ryan brought Makena a dozen pink roses and looked awesome in his new suit!  (Thanks to a GREAT sale at Macy's!)  He really went all out for Makena by bringing her flowers and taking her to dinner before hand.  Then he stood around talking to the other dad's he knows while she danced with her friends.  He said he did get to dance a little bit with Makena.  Then after the dance, Makena and Daddy went to get ice cream at McDonalds with some friends from our neighborhood.  At the end of the night, Makena was so happy and felt so loved.  She came in the house with a huge smile on her face, got her pjs on, and fell fast asleep!

4 WEEKS OLD

I can't believe that our Baby B is already 4 weeks old!!  She is a sweet baby and adored by all!  We are so happy that she is a part of our family!

BOING!!!!

MAKENA LOVES HER POGO STICK!  A FEW DAYS AGO, WE WENT TO TOYS R US AND SHE CHOOSE THIS POGO STICK.  WHEN WE GOT HOME, SHE JUST HAD TO TRY IT OUT.  SHE IS UP TO THREE BOUNCES ON IT AND THINKS IT IS SO MUCH FUN! 

A Little More Than I Need

Two nights in a row...Brinley Elle has been kind of awake and struggling to stay asleep in the middle of the night...so Ryan and I are in need of a little more sleep and a little less awake time in the middle of the night. :)  I keep reminding myself that this is the last time I will have a three week old and I need to enjoy every single minute.  That seems to work! 
So I haven't posted on the big sister and big brother lately but will quickly.
They LOVE Brinley.  M has adjusted very well to her little sister and wants to hold her.  Brody kisses her so gently and always tells me if she is crying.  It is great to see that bond that is taking place between them all.  Brodes and Makena have entered the fighting stage of siblinghood.  They can be playing so well when all of the sudden they are fighting.  I knew it was coming and I know it very well may last on and off for years so I just take it in stride!  :)
