2 year old check up

This morning we went to Makena's 2 year appointment. She passed with flying colors, of course! She has a great ped. who we really value. Well, ever since she was 10 months old, she has had a low iron level. I gave her the iron drops, and ruined quite a few outfits, and the proper food but at each appoinment her iron count would not rise enough. Finally after 10 months of frusturation, I talked to some fellow mommies and one recommend vitamins from Shaklee. Ok, honestly, I always thought Shaklee was kind of a joke but I was desperate so I tried it. Well this time when she had her iron checked she was way HIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so thrilled. These vitamins have not only helped her iron levels but they have also helped with other issues/concerns. So I am HIGHLY recommending them. They are called Vita-Lea and come in a powder form or pill form. Anyway, we have started the potty training!!! I stoppped at the store and Dubbies picked out special "potty" stickers. When she goes she will get to choose 1 to put on a chart which is on our fridge. So when we got home she wanted a sticker so I told her that she had to go on the potty. Makena takes off running for the bathroom, hops out of her diaper (with my help), climbs on the potty, and goes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so proud of her! Then later on, she wanted another sticker so she went a little but more. (Every bit counts, right???) I will keep you updated on the potty training. Hopefully it keeps going! I am now off track so I will keep our blog updated more frequently than in August. I LOVE being at home with her!!!!!
