Christmas Time is Here!

I love Christmas!  I love decorating our tree and setting up the rest of the decorations  inside while Ryan puts up the lights outside, the day after Thanksgiving.  I love smelling the apple cinnamon or vanilla sugar cookie candles I have around the house.  Everything looks and feels so cozy and warm! 
Early one morning, Brody woke up and padded out to the kitchen where I was making coffee.  "Mommy," he said sleepily, "can you put the lights on?"  "What light, Brodes?," I asked because the kitchen light was already turned on.  He turned around and shuffled out of the kitchen.   "In here," he called from the family room.  I walked to the family room and there he stood, pointing to the Christmas tree.  I turned the Christmas tree on and the soft glow from the tree filled the family room, lightening up his sweet face.  "Thanks, Mommy," he said giving me a hug.  Ahhh...I love Christmas time.

Thanksgiving 2010

It's a Helmer Thanksgiving!  We had Thanksgiving at my parents "house" this year!  What a great time we had playing games, eating yummy food, and visiting.  Angie was there too but I didn't get a picture of her! Oops.  (Sorry Helms.)

10 MONTHS OLD!

Brinley is 10 months and on the go!!!  She is very patient with attempting to pick up the smallest items and putting them in her mouth which means that I have to sweep the floor quite a few times during the day.  She loves to eat Puffs and mashed potatoes.  She is liking table food more and more each day.  Brinley is teething and I think she should have her top two teeth in by Christmas!  She is very social and babbles dadadada and loves to bounce to music or bop her head.  Brinley loves to crawl to where her sister and brother are playing.  They are great at playing with her!  She pulls herself to standing and just gets so excited.  Bathtime is fast now because all she wants to do is pull herself up on the edge!  She likes books, small toys, and being outside!

MAKENA AND DANI WERE TWINS FOR SCHOOL!  IT TOOK SERIOUS TALKING BETWEEN GINNY AND I TO FIGURE OUT THE OUTFITS!  DON'T THEY LOOK SO CUTE?

Happy Halloween 2010

This year for Halloween Makena dressed as a black cat, Brody was dressed as Spider Man, and Brinley was a Michigan State Cheerleader. We went trick or treating with Connor and Abby in our community on Halloween night. We all loved it!

The Annual Whitlow/Wilhite Halloween Party

We have loved being a part of the annual Halloween party for the past 5 years.  Our children have grown up together playing fun games, creating crafts, jumping in bouncers, and eating lots of treats at this annual gathering.  They have a blast and have looked forward to it every year!  This year was extra special because it was Brinley's first time and...it was the last Wilhite/Whitlow Halloween party.  I am so glad to have so many wonderful memories made there!

The Pumpkin Factory

Pumpkin patches are everywhere in Southern California!  They start to appear in early September and last until the beginning of November.  Then, most of these pumkin patches turn into Christmas tree places.  In the past we have gone to the Irvine Railroad Pumpkin Patch but this year we tried one closer to our home. There were pumpkins everywhere and lots of rides, bouncers, and even a trampoline/rope flipping thing!  Lots of fun for the kids!  We met our friends there too so that made it even more fun!  Plus I forgot my camera so my friend took pictures for me!  Thanks Tammy!

Our baby is 9 months olds!  She has 2 teeth and loves to smile.  She babbles a lot and crawls everywhere!

Wine Tasting 2010

Happy 36th Birthday Ryan!  This year, we rounded up some friends and headed to Temecula to go wine tasting.  It was a gorgeous day out there.  We visited a few wineries and found some delicious new wines.  It was a great time!
